Risky Way Home...
W.A.L.T- Describe a moment in time with the inspiration of a picture.
I hope you enjoy my writing. I found writing about this was cool, I really like using my imagination and picturing myself in this moment. Feel free to comment my blog!
Here is the picture I wrote about!
Journey to Home
My sweaty fists clenched the rope trying to keep my balance. I could feel my legs shaking under me like I was about to slip into the cold murky water, who knew what was in it?! Watching my feet move across the rotting planks, I heard a plank plunge into the water instantly seizing my attention. All I could hear was the water thrashing against the bank and could only smell the smelly sweat that fell from my forehead invading my nostrils threatening to choke me. I felt sorry for the people behind me as they waited for me to take my time walking across the bridge. I wondered if this was going to be the end of me and my class.

Optical Illusions
This is a slide that was done with google slides show on optical illusions. This was one of the early finishers work that we could do for inquiry and I thought it would be cool to search up some optical illusions to share. I really enjoyed trying to find the illusions, some of them were a bit weird and some really cool! Next time I might put more about the illusions and how they work and how they trick your brain/eyes. I hope you enjoy my slide show! And feel free to comment to leave some feedback.

Explain It!
W.A.L.T- We are learning to write explanations.
Last week we started learning about how to write explanations. We had the choice of writing about: scissors, wheelbarrows, pencil sharper, bike, bow and arrow, stapler, can opener, clothes peg, and Lego bricks. I chose scissors. I really enjoyed writing this explanation! But it was a bit difficult to choose what object to explain. I think next time i'll improve my google drawing and add more info. Here's my writing! Make sure to check out the rest of my blog and feel free to give me some feedback!

How do Scissors Work?
| My scissors diagram. |
What are Scissors?
Scissors are a common school supply that cuts through paper, fabric, string and cardboard. They have two handles and a blade. The handles make it easier to hold and the blade cuts. They are very handy in cutting pieces of paper to save you having to rip it. There are different parts in scissors: blade, handle, pivot point, finger rest, stopper, finger ring, inner blade and point tip.
How to use Scissors
Using Scissors is simple, you hold the two handles with the middle finger and the thumb. The middle finger goes on the the bottom finger hold and the thumb goes in the top one. Then when you want to cut, move your thumb in an up and down motion. Then simply cut the paper with the top and bottom blade on the paper.
How Scissors Work
A pair of scissors consist of a pair metal blades. They are made to be sharp like a knife. The blades are set up so that when you squeeze the handles, the sharp edges meet each other and cross each other very closely cutting through any thin material such as, paper, fabric, string and cardboard.
